Blackjack is a really popular casino card game that has been played for centuries now. The game has one of the lowest house edges and with the right blackjack strategy you can easily take home a lot of money. Over time, casinos and game makers have added a few twists to the rules of the game and have introduced variations of blackjack games. These blackjack games have different strategies, payouts and different house edges too. These blackjack variants add a little more fun to this timeless classic game. Here are some of the different blackjack games that you can find at land based casinos and online casinos.

Spanish 21: This is a pretty interesting and popular variant of blackjack. The game uses 6 to eight decks. The player who has 21 and blackjack always wins. The game allows double splitting aces, surrendering after doubling down, and doubling any number of cards you want. The most interesting part of the game is that all the 10s in the game are removed from the deck so 21 points isn’t going to come that easy, but that is the fun of the game. You have to use different strategy in Spanish 21.

European Blackjack: In this variant only 2 decks are used. The game allows doubling only on 9 or 11 and there is no doubling after splitting. No re-splitting is allowed wither. You can draw to split aces. And there is no surrender option in European Blackjack. The house edge for this game is 0.39%.

Double Exposure Blackjack: This is another blackjack variant with an interesting twist. In this game the dealer deals both his cards face up so you know what you are up against. The game uses 8 decks to play. In this game the dealer wins all ties except on blackjack. All player wins, including blackjack, pay 1 to 1. A blackjack tie also pays 1 to 1. You are allowed to re-split up to four hands in this variant. You can draw one card to split aces. Doubling down after splits is allowed. You can only double on a hard 9 to 11.

Blackjack Switch: in Blackjack Switch you are dealt two separate hands, each with an identical bet. In this game you are allowed to switch the second cards of your hands around to improve the total hand value of each hand. The dealer will peek to see if he has a blackjack when he has an ace or 10 face up card. If the dealer has a blackjack all player hands will lose, except player blackjack, which will push. The game allows doubling on any 2 cards and doubling after splitting. Only one split is allowed. The dealer’s total of 22 will push against any player total of 21 or less. But blackjack will beat dealer 22.
